Holyoke residents, city employees, public officials, and concerned supporters are  taking this voluntary, good faith pledge, in an effort to create accountability and lead by example as safe drivers in our community!
These citizens have taken the pledge to:

  • Adhere to our city’s 25mph city speed limit

  • Not text or use a handheld phone while driving

  • Fully stop at stop signs to look for pedestrians and traffic

  • Adhere to all school zone safety speed limits

  • Be mindful during school start/end times as our children deserve to be kept safe

  • Approach school buses with caution in case they are stopping to pick up/drop off our youth

  • Yield to pedestrians at crosswalks

  • Wear a seatbelt at all times

  • Be mindful and give space to bicyclists

  • Be patient and allow time during commutes

  • Park only in designated parking areas

  • Support traffic calming measures as they are implemented city wide!
